IMPORTANT MEETING UPDATE The time and location for the regular September TARS meeting has moved. Eat'n before the Meet'n for this month is canceled. The Vanderburgh Co EMA is conducting exercises this week and has a Base Camp set up with tents and the MEOC (Mobile Emergency Operations Center) at the State Hospital. TARS has been invited to visit the set up and and tour the MEOC as our meeting which will tie in well with next months meeting at the Vanderburgh Co EMA EOC. Activities will start at 6:00 pm and some food will be provided as a gathering with the EMA staff, CERT and RACES volunteers.
Enter the State Hospital grounds from Lincoln Ave and follow the road (Administration Drive) straight to the camp which will be located on your left. A parking lot is on Administration Drive overlooking the camp. We will have a very short informal business meeting to accept any nominations from the floor for officers and board members to serve in 2019. Offices up for election in November are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and 3 Board positions. If you would like to nominate yourself or another member, the only requirement is that you have been a member of TARS for 1 year and be a member in good standing. If you have any questions or would like to talk to someone about running for office, please contact one of the election committee. Jeff Holt AA9WJ (Chairman), John VanVorst N9OL, or Chris Lantaff KE9YK.
