FIELD DAY 2023

PDF

W9OG ARRL Field Day 2023

TARS will participate in the 2023 ARRL Field Day (June 24-25) from the Southwestern Indiana Red Cross Chapter located at 29 South Stockwell in Evansville (the same building where our meetings are held). We plan to have four operating positions active along with a Get On The Air (GOTA) station - so whether you're a seasoned amateur radio veteran or new to the hobby, we have a spot available for you to make some contacts!  We'll start hanging antennas Friday evening June 23 at about 5:00 PM and setup of the stations will begin Saturday morning around 8:00 AM. Field Day kicks off at 1:00 PM Saturday afternoon so we should have plenty of time to assemble the gear and enjoy a little ham radio camaraderie before the event gets underway!

Field Day is open to EVERYONE!!

If you have an interest in seeing what ham radio is about come out and join us.

You don't need a license just some interest and we can get you on the air, with someone assisting you at the GOTA (Get On The Air) station.

INQP 2023

PDF

Hello, everyone.

The Indiana QSO Party [INQP] is coming up this Saturday, May 6th, and will be at the FOP on the westside of Evansville, 5417 N Happe Rd (https://goo.gl/maps/1Mn7HvAyxWLW4Jy69).  Everyone is welcome, members and non-members alike, so please spread the word and join us for a day of contacts and camaraderie.

The INQP runs from 10am-10pm central time.  We will have 1 CW station and 1 SSB station for use during the event with setup beginning around 8am that morning.  This would be a great opportunity for those new to amateur radio to get some hands-on experience setting up antennas, stations, and asking questions.  So new hams please join us!

Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided for lunch.  Club members are invited to bring a side dish of your choosing to share.

Please plan on joining us for the 2023 INQP.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Duane, K3LWD
