DX Contest summation 11/28/16
« on: November 28, 2016, 04:35:08 AM »
Now that all the noise has died down from the contest we are back to the normal routine of ham radio. The DX contest in case you missed did provide large number of contacts with Europe, South America and a few stations from Africa. There was good activity from ZS, 3B9, D4, CN that was about it. The pacific area gave us KH6, A31, VK, ZL nothing much else, but good signals. From Asia we were working JA, KH2, AH0, plus several stations in China. In fact we wound up the contest by working B4T their contest station. About five PM we called it quits since the activity and the bands were going down, so more to come next year.

We do enjoy the contests for DX every year, but mostly we are CW, although the phone contest earlier did provide some good contacts. Fifteen was not a producer of contacts this year, we checked the band off and on and it was not as good as twenty, ten we just did not bother with it since fifteen was not that good.

If you did not jump in, well you did miss racking up some new ones, in my case nothing new, on 20/15, but some real good signals on twenty most of the day. We had hoped to rack up some new band countries on ten, but that did not happen. Ok, later on today we will see what is on and send in our daily report.
