DX Report 5/29/13
« on: May 29, 2013, 06:25:00 AM »
A mini expedition has surfaced in the form of C91GR, 7.008 0330Z. Last operation from this country of Mozambique was about a year ago with a Japanese op.

The signal was 559 at best due to the fact the op was using a Buddy Pole antenna propped up with a couple of rocks. I had little copy and even worse propagation on twenty. I could have used this one for a new band country, but you could barely tell who he was returning to and split was not used.

So much for that one, this spotted operation apparently has limited hours, so good luck on catching him.

There are several stations using the FOC prefix this a special event celebrating 75 years of the First class cw ops.

VP9FOC has been on 40 meters around 1030Z 7.008 with pretty good signal. This morning not much propagation, but if you need Bermuda on 40, or any other band this station is working, then go for it.

KH2Y, on and off 1040Z  7.017 couple of contacts, mostly west coast and gone.

5N7M very good signal when you can catch them, again a limited operation 7.001 0450z
