Morning started out with a a bang, just like old times on the 20 meter band, MUF showed 50 MHZ for North America, but as the morning moved on, the bands started to drop and by ten in the morning they were pretty dead. During the peak window I managed to work A92GE with a true 599 on 14.027 at 1330Z. I followed that up with 4U1A this stations counts for Austria, nothing else.
I did not return to the air until the evening on 80 meters and grabbed my first Russian station RU3EG at O136Z with 579 reports both ways. Nothing much else on the bands... I did see some spots for XT2AW on 80 meters, heard some stations stateside calling, but nothing detected, still daylight when this occurred, so not much of a chance.
