Biggest item to mention is activation of XZ1A this station has been dormant for some time, although it might be a reissue of the call. The operation is supposed to be from the 17th of November till the 22nd. So far only two spots state side have surfaced and they are on the 30 meter band.
Some years back XZ1A was on the air with a good signal, the qsl card is unique, it shows one fellow operating and two armed guards on his right and left. Might say that was a little stressful!
Personally, I do not look for much on this activation, although it is a Japanese group, who knows about operating schedules? Best times for this one from 6AM till 9 local time and about 6PM till 9PM local time, or if you prefer 1200Z to 1500Z and from 0000Z to to about 0300Z. We could use a contact on ten, but out looks is slim to none and slim left town.
UPDATE: Reports of XZ1A have been several this station is on 18.145 long path, so far nothing on 20/15/10. As an additive this morning YI1RZ has been at it again. This is a pirate station, do not even bother working him. Save your dollars, YI1RZ according to his web site has not been on the air since 2013.
