DXReport 06-14-16
« on: June 14, 2016, 04:56:10 AM »
Nothing really outstanding, but odd things are happening, during the daylight hours the bands are pretty dead, nothing much at all. Around 10 PM we are hearing some activity from Europe, plus the South Pacific areas.

There was one spot by W3LPL for a 5A1, but as usual you are chasing ghosts since no one else hears the stations he reports.

Personally, I am surprised that some one in his network has not reported P5 on 160 meters at high noon. Now that would be a ghost chase, but was this station actually heard? Maybe some did, benefit of the doubt, but no one else other then W3LPL posted it on the clusters.

I saw a post by a few stations yesterday of a station on 20 meter phone, no W3LPL network, mostly those spotting were in the west, or mid West. I dropped by the frequency and could indeed hear the Chinese station, signal was 54 to 44 at best. I did not bother to call since I have China on five bands, But the point is others were hearing the station and no one was chasing ghosts.
