DX Report 12/26/12
« on: December 26, 2012, 02:21:59 PM »
Good openings to Japan early in the morning on 40 meters, JA2KOG and JA1GZY with outstanding signals on the band around 1230Z Frequencies were 7.006. . Skip lasted for about an hour, nothing else noted, although one spot for those elusive stations from China. Moved to twenty meters and Europe was really hot and heavy, could not work them fast enough. Lots of Russian stations, plus other countries from Europe.

A few stations with polar flutter on the signals, but for the most part really good propagation for about an hour and half.

FK8DD has been heard on long path about two in the afternoon on twenty meters, New Caledonia check around 14.012 or 14.017.

There have been some spots of VU2ELJ on 40 meter cw, but have yet to copy this station, most spots for this one coming from West Coast stations. Love to catch this one 40, but nothing heard back this way.

Trust you got something nice in your sock, maybe a new rig, antenna, or some other goodie. Let's hope that 2013 brings even better DX conditions.
