Forty meters was fair to poor for SSB DX. band did produce several VK contacts with very good signals. A few Japanese stations and one pretty strong station from Hawaii. These were worked during the early morning hours.
A few south American and Caribbean stations, namely Grand Turk, plus Antigua with very out standing signals. Overall, not as good in past years, twenty appeared down as well with little making it in during the morning hours.
One station from Chile with a good 57, nothing much noted from South America during this time.
