DX Report 3/26/13

Bands are still pretty poor, but as always some good ones on the band in the morning hours.

FK8IK worked this morning, 7.005 up 1 1050Z, at first you might think once you look up this station on qrz.com that the operation was from the rare Chesterfield Islands. Not so, there was a brief and very brief operation by the op at that location, only twenty five contacts were made.

If you were lucky enough to work this op from Chesterfield he would have been signing FK8IK/C otherwise New Caledonia

KH2L very big signal from Guam 7.016 up 2, 1000Z, this op is on for about an hour each time his signal is heard and works as many as possible does respond quickly to qsl requests. Since this is U.S. possession postage is only 45 cents to send and 45 for a stamp on your S.A.S.E.

XR0YG, this one will fold up in a few days, so work them while you can, check DX scape for all information since the frequencies vary, worked this one easily on 40, big signal, big pile up.

Split operation, so make sure those VFO modes indicate split.
