DX Report 3/8/13
« on: March 08, 2013, 06:27:00 AM »
The TX5K operation will conclude this weekend on Sunday according to the schedule of the expedition and indeed a very good operation. If you need a qsl card for this expedition it goes via N2OO, do not forget your sase and a donation. This is how an expedition should be run with superb operators.

For those of you not cw ops this operation has been on 40 phone with a great signal and begging for contacts. If they are on phone check around 7.180 up five to ten. Check Dxscape for all details.

If you did not make it this time, there will be other expeditions to this rare island, so stay tuned and turned on to ham radio.

On other notes a few Japanese stations were heard this morning on 40 meters plus one station from PJ7 land. Overall, conditions were not very good and few signals were on the bands.

Due to the approaching spring and DST changes, plus the summer static levels forty meter dx may be limited for a few months. Good time to check antennas, catch up on qsl chores, clean out the dust on the blower fans of the rig.
