DX Report 1/14/13
« on: January 14, 2013, 07:42:08 AM »
Had a problem with my phone line and internet connection, seems old Ma Bell has trouble keeping the system in running condition. Guess those tight strings and tin cans no longer do the job.

Ok, back in business and time to give the latest info.

JT1CO is on forty meter cw on a regular basis, this is rare zone 23, the same of also operates JT5DX and offers the same qsl card with check boxes for the one you worked. JT1CO has a big signal on 40 around 7.005kz. Around 1100z, so if you are an early riser, take a listen for him.

Another station to note is CE2AWW, grabbed this on 40 around 0300z on 7.010 khz. Big signal and Chile is not that common, so if you need it, look for this station around the times listed.

Ei3KG also worked on 40, very nice signal from Ireland on 40 cw. 0205z 7.020 khz. As with all listings check DXscape for exact times and frequencies. They of course change with the operator.

Interesting qsl cards have surfaced in the last few days. NH8S the expedition to Swains Island, HS0ZCW for a ssb qso on 40. plus a card from SV9MBH on Crete worked some time ago. 1A0C surfaced for a card from the SMOM a new forty meter
country.

Bands have been bad, but there is always some dxers around. More to come.
