DX Report 6/4/13
« on: June 04, 2013, 06:35:23 AM »
In general the bands are very poor and nothing much in the way of major DX has surfaced. Of those stations heard, worked, or spotted I have just a few to be mentioned.

V73NS this station does qsl direct if needed and can be found around 7.007   0830 z, with pretty good signal through the noise and static.

TA3D good catch from Turkey, this station runs pretty fast cw 7.006  0200z.

Looks like some activity surfacing again from St. Barts in the form of FJ/K5SWE. Hopefully, this op will send in the proper documentation to the league. Suitcase operation and of course no documentation, no credit. But take your chances.

14.007 up one  1055z.

It would appear more ops would be interested in the rarer FJ and FS countries of the Caribbean, French St. Martin over decades has not had a locally licensed ham. Only suitcase operations at best, perhaps licensing is a problem, but this little island country has been rather dormant.

Same thing with St. Barts, draws a crowd when activated, hopefully this one will count for credit.

Received qsl card from H40T this one has been a real challenge, I had mentioned earlier that a German group usually operates around December, but little was heard from them over the last few years. In March of this year there was much more activity and contacts on cw and ssb were made with ease.

Qsl cards were received via qsl manager DL7UFR in about three months, nice card. Catch this one the next time since operation from H40 is on a once, maybe twice a year basis. No major expeditions have taken place for some time, so grab this one while you can and be glad you did.
