DX Report 1/13
« on: January 01, 2013, 06:14:49 PM »
Six meters is opening up mostly to the sw and NE, there were a few spots for two stations from Brazil, but no copy at my location. Worked a couple of stations in the Northeast, but nothing outstanding. Maybe some hope for six in the new year, but this may not last very long.

On the other bands, namely 40 band has been pretty dead in the early hours of the morning for the last few days.  Nothing much making it, there was a JA6REX/VK5 on 40 this morning with a pretty good signal.

On twenty, band opens to Europe around eight in the morning and continues for about an hour. Mostly stations from Europe with outstanding signals. Lots of Russian stations, big signals.

JD1BMH has been on from Ogasawara Island and yes this counts as a separate entity, mostly on 17 meters have yet to see a spot for 40, or twenty.

H40FN elusive station, has one, maybe two contacts and then vanishes, good luck on this one. Again, hopefully a full scale expedition will take place sometime in the future.
