DX Report 11/22/12
« on: November 22, 2012, 06:59:51 AM »
DX contest cw coming up this weekend, lots of suitcase expeditions on the air at this time. Suitcase expeditions are great, but unless these stations send in the documentation to ARRL, for DXCC you just have the satisfaction of working them or giving points to the operation.

I am referring to portable stations example if I were operating from Canada I would sign my call portable /VE3 if I were in Ontario. There are a lot of stations now appearing with the portable suffix for the contest. Many of these quickie operations fail to send in documentation, there fore even if you receive a qsl from them and that again might be a problem, if counts for zero.

Take your chances and hope for the best.

Only notable station this morning on 40 C6AAU from the Bahamas. good signal 7.005 up 1 1300 z this one will be easy to work in the contest. A few stations from PJ land, again pretty easy to work in the contest.
