DX Report 1/17/14
« on: January 17, 2014, 08:16:16 AM »
First on the report there is a VK6/MM with crew on the way to Amsterdam Island to run FT5ZM operation shortly. I do hope they do some 15 and ten meter operation since I do not need it on 20 cw/SSB . We shall see what happens in the next couple of days once they land on the island.

On the regular stations we have the following:

BA4TB 7.004 1230Z.

6W7SK 7.007 0730Z.

Station I should mention is ZS8C this one is off and on, selective as to who he works and seems to avoid the North America stations as much as possible. Spotted on 21.360 and listens up 15 khz. Last two spot I have had no copy at all long path, or short path. Heard a few stations on the Northeast calling, but nothing much else. Marion island is not a needed entity on twenty cw/ssb but would like a contact on 15. May have to wait a while longer for this one. Grab it if you have the chance, but the chances are slim with poor propagation and the selective operation. This one is on for short time and then vanishes, you just have to be on at the right time and place.

A61K 21.296 1330Z

3B9FR 21.021 1400Z.

V44KAI 28.020 1330Z

AP2TN 7.007 0200Z this is a German op living in Pakistan and yes he qsls via the home call. Signal on 40 last night pretty weak and lots of stations from the West calling. Be a good one on 40 but nothing much of a signal at my location.

QSLs received A35YZ. TO3X.
