SIX meters 6/9/13
« on: June 09, 2013, 07:45:00 AM »
Saturday evening produced some activity on six due to the VHF contest, worked several west coast stations mostly southern California and a few midwestern stations. Signals were up and down like a yo Yo. Often very strong signals for a few minutes, then down in to the noise and gone.

Nothing much in the way of DX but at least some activity and signals being heard on six this time of the year. Sunday morning a few pings, one quick contact in two land. This was noted about 1230Z. We shall see what happens the rest of the day?

For six I am using a six element beam at 78 feet, signals are usually good with this antenna if there are some openings. Keep listening, oh and the offer is still available for anyone that finds a station in Hawaii and I work them on six. I need one state and that is it. I work it for my last one, it is worth a free dinner ticket at Golden Corral, Cracker Barrel, or other place of your choice.

49 confirmed and one more needed.
