DX Report 5/9/13
« on: May 09, 2013, 06:13:34 AM »
Z81X this is Southern Sudan and yes it counts for a separate entity on the DXCC lists. This country has been activated a few times in the past ten years, or so. For the most part this station has been heard on 15 meters on normal operation. That is for a short time each day, or every other day.

Z81X does qsl and I have the qsl card plus from past expeditions as well. Grab it while you can since the activity my terminate at any time and it may be a long wait for any other operation.

There has been a special event station from Japan using the 8J prefix noted on 40 meters in the early hours of the morning.

Propagation continues to be rather poor, but we can keep up hope for better times and conditions.

As noted in an earlier report six meters showed some life to the NW and the 7th district for a short period of time Sunday afternoon. I continue to look for a contact with CE2AWW on six, but nothing heard from that direction.
