We have been chasing Z60A on forty meters for several nights, the signal is up and down and at best a 579 and that is on a peak. The pile up is huge and of course many calling. Propagation has not favored us at all, so it is still up in the air to work. This has been the story on 40 CW, little bit of a signal and much interference from self appointed band cops. We are now hoping for a contact on 20 meters, maybe 15. This operation will be going until the 5th.
In other news nothing heard from the 3Y0 operation, I imagine it is hard to get things set up and going in the terrible climate on the island, we will see what happens? Pile ups for the first few days should be huge, since we do not need this one on 20 we will look on other bands.
ZC4A is up and running, this one was not a problem to work on 80 meters easy in comparison to Z60. Also up and running is D68, saw several spots for them in the last day, or so. Again, propagation is not good, so nothing heard in the afternoon on 20, 15 dead, nothing and ten useless.
So be it, if you call any of these stations they are working split, so be sure and know how to split your radio before calling, be part of the solution and not the problem. Ok, more to come in the next few days.
