DX Report 4/16/13
« on: April 16, 2013, 03:10:29 AM »
Nice signal this morning from 5W0M on forty meter ssb. Only one problem occurred and that was where the station was listening on his initial operation this morning.

5W0M was transmitting on 7.130 and listening for N.A. five to ten down, that created a problem for U.S. stations since five down is out of U.S. band. Apparently, someone told the operator and he changed his listening frequency to 7.155khz.

I then made my call and he was worked on the first try, very nice signal indeed around 0800Z.

Of course when working 40 ssb, be sure you are split and be sure the listening channel is 7.125 and above.

Only signal of major strength from the DX world this morning, operation from 5W0M is normally about an hour, so listen and be patient.
