WPX contest this weekend, if you are a prefix hunter you will find this interesting. I listened in the 40 meter phone band and heard several JA stations, one station from Chile and another from the Philippines. Exchange is a signal report and progressive qso number. Nothing noted this morning on the cw band, conditions fair to poor.
In order to know who you are working you will need a list of International prefixes and that can be had on the ARRL web site, for those of you keeping a paper log, it can be found in the back pages of an ARRL log book.
In this contest prefixes are used that are not normally used for DX countries, and of course lots of them available from stateside with the unusual prefixes.
You might find some new countries for your total, and capture a rare prefix at the same time.
Normal Dx reports will resume on Monday.
