DX REPORT 3/28/16
« on: March 28, 2016, 11:48:23 AM »
The bands are now settled down after the WPX contest, to be honest nothing much out of the ordinary other then a few unusual prefixes.Band conditions were poor and I did not expect much activity.

On the other side of the coin, March was supposed to produce an expedition to Sao Tome Island, it never happened. Also an A52 operation and it also never happened. This is common for this entity, last few operations that were planned never happened.

VK0EK is up and running, but on a limited basis, signal is barely heard at the odd times they are on the air, no 15 meter operation noted and mostly 20 CW. They were plagued by storms for two days, so this may be the reason, but was expecting a 24/7 operation and it is not happening.

So there you have it for today. Forget the VK9CK pleasure cruise, not worth effort for this one, it became a " Holiday operation" instead of an expedition, write this one off.
