DX Report 2/3/16
« on: February 03, 2016, 06:18:34 AM »
For those of you that are general class ops and want to work the expedition of VP8SGI they transmit on just about every band at 23 on cw. Example, 7.023,14.023 etc.   They listen any where from 4 to five khz up. On phone there have been many instances of listening at 14.240 for calls while transmitting on 14.180.

On Ten meter phone 28.495 up no restrictions on this band, so there are plenty of opportunities for all. This is a rare activation and you may not get another chance for decades. I have worked all the VP8 stations over the years on 20, this is not a new one, but on 15 it is a new band country and will be on ten if the band cooperates.

Just remember to split, if you are not sure, consult your manual, or use the guide line I gave on this forum.

This operation will last for about one more week, by then other stations should be turning up and February has some good ones listed.
