dx Report 1/31/13
« on: January 31, 2013, 06:07:39 AM »
Conditions continue to be poor, however a few stations are making it and with pretty good signals.

ZK3T this operation has been noted in the early hours of the morning on 40 meters, 7005 khz up two or more. Nice signal and easy to work. 1000Z till op gets tired.

Looks like this one is not a pirate as previously reported and listed on QRZ.

TZ6DD is on at odd times on 40, mostly noted about 0000z forty cw about 7.005 khz frequency varies, so keep a listen for the pile ups and be sure and split your frequency control.

There is some activity from South Korea with a special event station using the DS prefix, active on 40 meters in the early hours of the morning 1000z noted around 7.005 khz, but again frequency varies so look for the pile ups and split is necessary

Twenty is open to Europe in the morning for a short time, the rest of the day pretty dead, however, you never know what might appear, so keep close to your radios.

Let's hope for better conditions soon.  8)
